I got the e-mail introducing R2R from the old CZ, and I thought I would pop over and see what it looked like, I LIKE IT! A lot of you know me already from MR or Reefland, but I'll post an update to my tank that I posted over there here! ;)

Anyway, long story short, I moved at the end of January, and I have been going slow with the re-set up of the tank. I managed to get rid of almost all the aiptasia, and most of the valonia in the move. I still don't like the aquascape, I would like it to be open, but this is just not right to me....

Here are the pictures!

Time for an update! I really don't like the aquascaping, but it will have to do for now I guess...

Water change bucket, that valve is attached to the bottom of the rubbermaid, if I open the valve, in goes just over 20 gallons of salt water, at 80 degrees. :D

Ooooh I don't know, I kinda like the aquascaping. It's not normally what you see and looks more natural IMO.

Welcome back to R2R and your tank and set up is very nice! ;)

Thanks Rev, to be honest the scape is growing on me. I may move the 2 6025's to the "high side" to see what that does to the flow, and aesthetics of the tank.

Nice setup
I don’t think the aquascaping is that bad. The background is just a little distracting with so much of it exposed.
I think black works better with an open aquascape .

Just my opinion

Welcome! I love the low profile aquascape. That's what I plan to do in my new tank.

Very nice aquascaping, and your coral placement is almost identical to the way they occur in nature. So many tanks don't look right to me because of the aquascaping and coral placement. Very well done and welcome to R2R. Love the acros!

Hey Chris... I think I have seen you around somewhere haven't I? ;) Thanks for the compliment, it has been a long time in development, I'm sure something else will change eventually, these things are NEVER done are they?

LOL! Ok, I will, if someone buys all my Canon gear... Lets see, about 12-15K would be about right for what I have. Any takers? ;) :D

Well hello there Mike, glad to see you around these parts...

The new scaping looks good, i agree it looks rather natural, not to mention, aquascaping with corals on the rocks is IMPOSSIBLE. I just re-scaped knuckles tank, and man what a PITA. Theres only so much you can do without destroying half your SPS.

The new sump area looks great, looks to be even better than at the old house.

Anyone notice his CA reactor?? Whats that thing hold 45lbs of media?

OH, and lets see some bigger pics!! R2R doesn't destroy all the pics by beating them down to 480 wide.

Thanks Jr! (On all counts.) You are right about scaping with corals on the rocks, especially those large caps, I could not get the rock to sit right, then I could not get the cap to be upright.... ARGH!

Oh, and the Ca Reactor, it holds 50 pounds of media, and there is a little bit of room left! ;) Maybe enough for another 5-8 pounds.

Okay, here is a better picture of the Ca Reactor, at the old house. The Sprite bottle is a 2 liter, just for reference. :)
