The return plumbing, I actually got it in but it is very very tight. Seems like the ATO tank is a little too big. I had to bend the glass slightly to get it inIs it the return plumbing or the bend in the emergency overflow that's in the way?
Strange, I have plenty of clearance between my overflow pipes and the ATO, the return is actually offset from where the ATO reservoir sits, I have the 250 though..The return plumbing, I actually got it in but it is very very tight. Me too [emoji16][emoji16]Thanks so much for the help!! I just ordered the kit.
I've had a 525 for about a year and found the ATO reservoir too small for the evaporation rate of the tank. I've connected 2x20 litre containers outside the aquarium to the float valve so rather than topping up 2 - 3 times a week I fill up every 2 weeks or so. I suggest you think about something similar.Ok, the tank is full and everything is running but I have a problem I just can not figure out. I can not get the ATO tank into its spot, it does not fit because of the return plumbing behind it. Can anyone help please?

I have converted the ATO box into a refugium for pH and pod refuge instead.
I did this. Some people leave it in place and plumb it - you can look at the big reefer build thread and see who. I just put mine inside the sump so I had some containment. I have macroalgaes in there.Thinking of making the ATO tank into a refugium. Has anyone done this on my style tank? If so can you please share any ideas?
Sorry, I never mentioned the change in the post. I could not get my hands on the Deltec 1546 DC my LFS guy told me it was a European model and he couldn't get it for me. So after seeing a BRS video of their 160 Gallon build I decided to go with the Skimz. So far this thing is very impressive, very easy to get a good skim going.Sorry if I missed it but I am wondering why you listed a deltec 1456 but your using a skimz?
You can not control it with the APEX Controller so I am just using the On/Off functions thru the outlet. I can control the flow if I want directly from the device locally. I really do not adjust the flow, I used the M1 auto configuration feature and have the flow set to max. I currently have 1 MP40 and will eventually have 2 so flow in the tank will not be an issue.I'm curious as to how you are running your M1. I have one for my build, but understand that it isn't controllable through third party controllers like Apex or ProfiLux. Are you just using the on/off function of an outlet on your Apex?
Build looks great so far. Thanks
Are you planning on using reeflink to gain access to any of the other features of the M1? Or are you just going to use as is for the foreseeable future? You can not control it with the APEX Controller so I am just using the On/Off functions thru the outlet.
