So I have been going around to various shops in my area and getting mixed answers. I have some telling me to do a 10% water change every week to help with the cycle. I have some telling me not to touch it for a month then do a partial water change. My ammonia and nitrite levels have started going down. Should I do a weekly water change?
In my opinion doing 5 to 10% water change is the best....

I have a galaxy and I hit the plus sign next to the text box then hit the 3 dots in the top right corner and it gives you the option to add a pic

Ok so here is an update on my tank. Rearranged all my rock and added 10 more lbs of live . Tank isn't cycling fast enough so I found a bottle of API live bacteria and have started dosing my tank. Levels have dropped some but not enough. Hope this helps boost it a lot faster. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

How long has it been cycling for? When you began your cycle, did you add any food to decay and start the ammonia process?

Been cycling almost 3 weeks. I didn't add any food and was called cruel for this but I added 4 damsels to the tank on day 3 . I have another 30 gallon that has already cycled that I am going to move them too for the wife.

It was a very common way of cycling a tank (the old hardy fish cycle) . I am not going to call you cruel for it, but it is good that you are putting them into a cycled tank. If you have already had some fish in the tank, then you probably fed them so there should be ammonia in the tank to start the nitrogen cycle. I would give it more time especially now that you have added the bacteria. Do some every other day to weekly testing. Here is a great read on cycling, https://www.reef2reef.com/blog/291/

I finally started getting my corals yesterday. Have added a few new fish. Thought I would share an update. Tank is coming along nicely.

I wanted too but I got tank from a friend empty. They didn't take care of it and has white calcium I think all over the back. Afraid it won't cover it up and I can't get it off. Tried everything. Suggestions?
