Hi all.

I’m looking for more non absorbing rocks or deco for my QT. I feel like I don’t have enough shelter for my fish because I have one of them still posting up by the corner.

Will resin decorations absorb medication? Is there plastic or any other non absorbing deco you would recommend outside of PVC?

As well as regular PVC hides I use a bunch of fake wood looking decor and many plastic plants. Very carefully inspect the decor for any metal if they're used and don't know if it's salt safe. They sometimes use metal at the base of some plastic plants meant only for FW.

Seachem matrix is supposed to be inert. It can be used to seed a QT.

Some of us have tested it with copper at least and it does not appear to be impacting the concentration.

Pvc pipes etc is a good choice. I would stay away from any painted decorations.

I occasionally use a plastic freshwater cave in my quarantine tank, along with large pvc fittings.
