After less than a year back in the hobby decided to add another tank to the mix. Went with the NYOS Opus 300 G2 Slim.

Lighting - 36" Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid w/ 2 X30 Blue
Bulbs - ATI 2 Blue, 1 Coral and 1 Purple
Flow - AI Orbit 4 and Nero 5
Return - Haven't decided yet
Control - Apex A3
Scape - Tropic Marin Rock
Skimmer - NYOS 120

I started off by removing the filter sock chamber so I can hard plumb in a Reefmat 500. RedSea kit made removing the silicon pretty easy.

Started on the control board and installed the mounts and T5 fixture. Was a pain in the butt to get level but done. I forgot to take pictures on the X30 Blues installed in the fixture. If they don't work out I have 2 Gen5 XR 30's to swap out. Just a note, if you go with the X30's and the Aquatic Life Hybrid fixture you need to relocate the power cords on the X30s to left / right of the fixture.

I love your work and I plan on doing the same tank and set up. Where will the skimmer go I dont see the chamber for it and what skimmer are you going to use?

Thank you for your kind words. It will go behind the Reefmat. If you look closely you can see its there minus the skimmer cup. I'm going with the NYOS 120. The photo is a little deceiving as it makes it look very tight but there is still some room.

Took me a week but finally full and Fritz added to start the cycle. Excuse the par meter I left on the light  Will post later this week the par I'm getting around the tank.
Any update on PAR?! I'm doing a mixed reef and already have 1 XR15 G6 Pro.... Debating getting another XR 15 or getting the XR 30, but dont want to have a 15 next to a 30... lol and don't really wanna get two XR30's because I feel that would be overkill...

Also, I just noticed you put the reefmat in the skimmer chamber! Nice thought! I was wondering what all you're using/plan on using in the sump besides reefmat and skimmer? Specifically what media and where are you going to put it? any reactors or refugium?

I'm also debating grabbing a slightly bigger sump.... So many questions but would appreciate your thoughts/ideas since you already have eyes and hands on the tank!

What kind of coral are you planning on keeping, this will determine what lighting you need? I will post par this weekend for you. I'm not planning on anything else in the sump, I do have room for a NYOS reactor in the area where the socks used to be but I usually don't run one. I've never had or needed a refugium so can't help you there, I do use a 3d printed basket for bio media spheres I keep in the sump.
