Oceanic 175g Bowfront + 25g Frag Tank

I have the same tank set up. Following this build. Looks good .

It’s been 72hrs and the tank is a lot better now - Cyano is 90% gone. I’ve siphoned some additional visible ones and been doing a super wet skimming for the last 2hrs to suck all the ChemiClean out, doing a small WC in the process.

Carbon & UV back online. Fish & corals are fine, except: the red Haddoni went into hiding and I noticed the CSBs shriveled up! Hope things will recover soon…

Cyano is completely gone and PO4 is coming down from 0.36 to 0.20. It’s still a little high so will slowly knock it down to 0.10 by this weekend. NO3 is coming up and corals are loving it! Things are looking good — will do a FTS later tonight.

Close call? I just got home from work and saw the red Haddoni wandered near the MP40 (yes, I have nemguards on all wavemakers) — I got him down to his old spot again. Hope he’ll stay put!

I’ve fragged the Colorados — I’m very nervous about one of them though. Fingers crossed.

Haddonis kept moving — the red one hid partially under the rock but I saw this guy climbed on top of the hill last night!

Anyway, I’ve turned down the 2xMP40’s flow from 90% to 60% for now to let things calm down.

Added 2 Mangroves to the frag tank - never had this before so I’m super happy! Ha

Update - Haddonis finally settled down and stopped moving. I’ve turned down two MP40s from 90% to 50%. I’ll ramp them up over time since some acros on top will appreciate more flow!

First 2024 FTS — things are growing and the Haddonis are finally happy! I had to wedge some big rocks around them so they feel safe and don’t move. MP40s are now cranked up to 80%.

They are indeed “frags” and are definitely slow growers! I’ll prb stick them in a corner somewhere and not look at them for months to compare! Ha

Very cool — I absolutely love this tank!!! Glad to see another fellow reefer is still got this running magnificent tank. Good luck with Cyano. I believe mine was caused by bottoming N&P — things are great now: 10N and 0.09P last time I checked. I did cheat and used ChemiPure though.
