Odd white growth at the base of hammers and frogspawn

Greetings Coral Compadres! I noticed an odd white growth showing up on a few of my hammers and frogspawn and was hoping someone could help me figure out what it is. It takes a little effort to get it off without digging into the tissue but it does break apart. Here's a couple of photos.

Looks like a type of sponge
