Yeah for sure. I love shrimp and like having them in there with all my tangs as they get cleaned by them quite often.

Too bad there isn’t something like an invisible fence , like the ones that dogs have? lol
Perhaps some of the Ancylomenes anemone cleaner shrimp would be safe? The clear ones.

I don't keep cleaner shrimp for this precise reason. I absolutely love shrimp, but I also love slow, meaty animals (cucumbers, LPS, etc) and have got to pick them over shrimp lol. Someday I want to have a shrimp only tank with sarons, bongos, sexies, etc. I feel it could be really neat.

Same here. I was at the LFS yesterday and saw the cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp, and I almost walked out with one but I decided I can’t have them digging at my corals

I have a pico and had 2 sexy shrimp, well they just got banished to my sump, for eating zoanthids and torch

I don’t know, I try not to let most things touch. I do feel plates are a difficult coral, I’ve had several die for seemingly no reason. But, I do have a baby plate, approx 3/4” and it is doing really good. When I got it, it was 1/2” so it doesnt sound like much but its 50% bigger in a month. And when it’s this small, differences are noticeable to me. Maybe the key is having it be tank raised ?

Long tentacle plates seem to be the most sensitive
Ugh yeah, I like my plates but I doubt I’ll buy more. They are tricky and 2 of them will randomly look like crap for a week or two. I think slowly losing one of them and have no idea why. Meats are bullet proof compared to plate.

That’s some decent prices!
@Mechano @Mr_Knightley
I found good prices on meats! On sale, plus extra 10% off if it’s your first order

Cynarina 56-112$
Acantho 375-525$

I have ordered from them in the past! Fairly good experience. At the moment I'm just saving up for a pink one or two haha.

Any acantho people online?

@Mr_Knightley @Mr. Acantho @Mechano

Just wanted to thank all three of you. I know it was short notice but I reached out for guidance last night and NOT one person replied to me.

My dealer got two acantho in and listed them and I was looking for experienced advice on which to buy. But nobody was there for me in my time of need. Sooooo

I bought both of them! So going back to my first sentence, thank you for helping me get my first TWO acantho’s instead of helping me pick just one :)

I gotta do some rearranging in my tank. These bad boys are big

Can't wait to see them! Sorry I missed that message haha. Though I would have likely encouraged you to get both anyway ;)

Awesome. Congrats. I have a feeling you will shift your love even from cynarina to the new acanthos. Something about these corals that are truly unique and just awesome

If this ends up happening @VintageReefer, I'll gladly take your cynarina :p
