I've had yet another fish jump today. My yellow coris wrasse. I thought I had solved the problem. I originally just laid some glass on top which lead to a hawkfish jumping. I then tried building a lid from BRS and I had my chalk bass and a blenny jump. I then sealed the gap (photo attached) and it seemed to work. I kept a Midas blenny in the tank for a couple of months before giving him away (aggression). Now I came home to my beloved yellow wrasse, Lil' Nana, on the floor. I am honestly devastated even though he was just a fish.

Is it not fully fitting over the top, from the picture it looks like your lid doesn't fully fit it? Also doesn't it come with 2 glass panels for a lid, had a 45 jbj with no issues with the glass panels. if you arent have the lid fit snug tight that is your biggest issue. Try buying a dd jumpguard pro, its not too expensive you make it your self and you measure everything to the exact measurements.

Yea second thought is your screen lid doesn't fit the top to the right measurements, it doesn't look like you or the person who made it cut it right.

Ope. That’s just because I was moving it. The lid does sit flush. However, there is a gap due to the bracket for holding the reef breeder lights. It’s about an inch wide. That’s what I’m trying to fix.

I didnt like any of the not super expensive lids. Did the brs one didn't like it. I just went back to the egg crate. I was able to cut to an exact fit and if I add anything I just cut and adjust it.
We take it off when we are home and imo it looks alot better then the ones I made. I dont see any differance with my corals due to the light and egg crate. Here some pics of my 30 and 120.
It's usually off when we are home plus idk if it matters but I keep the water level about 2 inches off the top.

Look up the dd jumpguard pro, it has special railing that has a lip that goes over the edge, it looks to me like you bough a screen kit and it isn't on their tight. The jumpguard should fix your problems, look it up and tell me what you think.
