I have a 40 gallon breeder and an Ecotech Vectra S return pump. I was wondering if I am better off using the an overflox box from Eshopps that is small (600 gph rated) or or medium (800 gph). Head height, I am guessing should be no more than 3.5 feet if I use soft plumbing and probably 4 feet (including elbows). Not sure if any of that matters. Oh, and I will be using the return pump controller and a ball valve to control flow.

I used the marineland Elite medium, 800gph on my 75g. I have a gate valve on the main drain and a jabeo dcq10k return pump running at 45%. I do have my my return pump pipe T'd to feed the refugium so the dt is only seeing about 500-600gph

I just don't wanna have the overflow not able to keep up with the return pump. that's why im wondering if 800gph overflow would serve me better than 600gph.
