I hear that the effluent of ozonated water needs to run over activated carbon. I'm struggling to understand specifically, logistically, how to run the output of my skimmer over carbon. How are other ozone users doing this?

bren running ozone 30 years never felt any need to run the skimmer output thru carbon. I’ve heard of putting a carbon cup on top if your skimmer vents air to the top. Lots of internet myths about ozone in this hobby. The ozone smell would run you out of the house before reaching a toxic dose

In my tank, water from the skimmer runs over/under a couple of baffles before the return pump.

I place the bag of carbon between the baffles so that the water flows past the carbon.

Ozone in high enough concentration can be deleterious to the health of both you and the tank, so it's a simple precaution.
