If that’s the case, then unfortunately, I’m no good. We’ve summoned good folks. They’ll come along.

It could be bacterial in nature... Do you have antibiotics on hand?

When using copper, the “trifecta” of kanaplex + metroplex + furan-2 is usually my go to for bacterial issues.

Once the copper treatment is complete (you can transfer to a new sterile QT after 14 days) then a course of NFG would be my choice if it is still lingering. If it don’t have NFG, Sulfaplex (or Triple Sulfa) + Furan-2 is another option. These antibiotics are pretty strong, so you’ll likely need Prime to keep ammonia in check... so definitely have to wait until the fish is out of copper.

Agree with @ngoodermuth!

I would add that it could be an aberrant stress coloration. Tangs are famous for doing that. People have paid outlandish sums for uniquely colored tangs only to have them convert to normal coloration as they settle in.

will paraguard work for bacterial infection? because that what i have on hand at the moment.it may be stress as well because the patch is not getting bigger or darker. copper treatment will be ready soon so i can remove the copper and dose paragaurd if it works
