Wow Im a carpenter and never thought about a plywood tank! Very cool infinite possibilities!
I couldn't even imagine putting something like this together!
Hey guys today I got done with closed loop plumbing and install return Oceans Motions and Oceans Motions Revolutions. Everything inside is loose and I am not going to glue anything incase if I have to change anything in new future. I am using reeflo dart for closed loop system and there are total of 8 3/4" flow eductors inside that I can move in any direction. Tomorrow I am going to fill this tank with water and check for leaks and see if I have any bowing issue (I hope not)....I will add more pictures..
just a little something to consider before you start adding water, use something across the top in a couple places and mark where the walls are at on those pieces so you can monitor any spread, by laying a yard stick or piece of wood across, you should be able to see any movement if the front or back start to bow, if you see any bowing, stop filling, drain water and start considering more cross bracing, I don't think you'll have any issues but it's best to be sure
I over cross braced mine and wish now that I had tested the tank before adding so many LOL
Yup I am doing that and I took measurements for both sides and in the middle and I will measure again after I fill with fresh tab water and I am planning to keep the closed loop running for couple of days to monitor the any stress and leaks for closed loop and once I pass that stage I will add on sumps and run the full system full fledge....
