I would still not turn the skimmer off, IMO. It won't hurt anything if it runs as long as it cannot collect the medication and remove it in the cup. I've done this with success many times. Just my .02

Agreed... so long as the cup is removed and nothing is being skimmed out of the water (like the medication.) But if you want to just let it run over, for aeration purposes, no harm in doing that. Just be prepared for lots of microbubbles for a few days.

The skimmer is on the lowest setting possible and it's just overflowing like crazy still. I don't understand it. I dosed last Friday.

It can sometimes take weeks for the Oxybispropanol (found in Prazipro) to work it's way out of your system. I would start doing WCs & run some carbon.

How old is the carbon? New carbon is best.

Well, there is something going on in the tank. Fish are still scratching , but mainly their heads. I do not see anything at all. I dosed the Prazi. I just put a 57W UV in. What else can I do, considering I don't even know now what it is?

Sounds like something going on inside the gills, if they are targeting their heads when scratching. Two best guesses are flukes & ich. Is it possible to catch one of the scratching fish and perform a FW dip? This would confirm whether or not flukes are present.

I can try, but it's not likely. They are all on the smaller side.

It would help to know what you're dealing with. If flukes do not show during the dip, it is most likely ich. And if flukes do show and Prazi is not knocking them out... you could be dealing with a prazi resistant strain.
