What's up everyone. I finally got the ok to upgrade my tank from the warden (aka the wife). But it came with some stipulations lol. New paint, new floors, and moving the closet lol. I'll touch on that a little bit later. But for now, here's a little bit of background. It's not long, I promise lol. I started out with freshwater like a lot of people seem to do. I can't remember a time that my father didn't have a fish tank up and thriving. At one time, I can remember having 3 forty gallon tanks going at the same time in our rec room. One for African cichlids, one for South American cichlids, and one for oddballs. The oddball tank was my favorite tank of course. But enough about that. I had a 75 gallon freshwater with only one butterkoferi for about a year. He would kill any and everything I put in the tank. I got the opportunity to re-home him and I took it. I was thinking of restocking with African cichlids until I visited a friend and saw his tank. I was hooked almost immediately. So I cleaned out the 75 and got to work. The tank did pretty well for a first timer I think. Then we moved and I had to downsize a little bit. I got a 60 gallon cube when we moved, built a sump, and have had that tank for the last 6 or 7 years. Check out the build thread on that one of you want. It's pretty short lol. Well.... Here we are at the present. The warden wanted to redo some of the house since our moving plans changed. And that means new tank for me!!!! A lot of labor, but, I think it'll be worth it. I'll make sure this build thread is a little better than my last. Well... Stay tuned if you want, and any pointers are welcomed. Now, here's some pics!!
