You could get away with a 3-4" in a 20L, but I wouldn't go much bigger than that.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but a 5-6" Naso would get stressed pretty fast in just a 20L. I would use at least a 40 breeder (55 would be ideal). Petco is having their dollar per gallon sale soon. I recently had to QT my 5-6" PBT in just a 20L recently. All she did was pace, look ******, refuse to eat, etc.

No, you make a good point and it was really what I know. She's just so pretty! My 20 is still bigger then their holding tank too. Maybe I should go to petco and pick up a tank.

Side note, I was at petco tonight and they have a 2" naso, but not nearly as pretty and over half the price of the full size one. Actually all their fish looked good tonight.

Here is the naso in question. Any opinions on how he/she looks?

Looks good to me. Do you plan to prophylactically treat or just observe in QT?

That generally depends on the source. This lfs has known ich in the system, so I will treat once acclimated and eating. If I order from some place like divers den I may just watch and see.

FWIW; I always prophylactically treat for the two diseases which can harbor unseen in the gills - ich & flukes. Anything else will usually present obvious symptoms.

True. I sometimes forget they can hide. I figure qt is stress enough in the fish, and they usually present themselves.

Either way, this guy will be treated.
