Need an idea for something cheap no thrills that I can use over a 10-20 gallon quarantine that will also work with SPS for when I quarantine them. Not looking to spend $100's on this but I know I need something better than a desk lamp if I am going to quarantine some SPS corals.

If it will be used for corals like you stated, maybe go with something similar to your main tank. That way when the corals acclimate to the quarantine lighting, they will be ready to go into the display tank without fluctuation in lighting.

I use two EcoTech XR15 Pros for the display tank and don't want to spend that much for a light for a quarantine. I'm sure there is a light I can use for SPS on a timer for way cheaper

I'd just pick up something used if you're not trying to spend some money. My sps quarantine process is sort of frowned upon but I just put the frags in my frag tank (that has the same lighting as my display) and keep an eye on them before putting them in my main display.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
