Question for you all.. apologies if this has been asked before and this is in the wrong section.

When you purchase any new fish and you put them into quarantine !! Do you always treat with copper to make sure ich, velvet ect are not Prestent even if they are not showing any signs ?
My thinking is yeah because if you don’t then just because they are not showing signs of these diseases doesn’t mean they are not carrying them and would therefore transfer the to DT ?

thanks in advance

Everyone has a different philosophy for quarantine, that depends on their level of risk tolerance and where they are getting their livestock. If you have the patience and it’s a concern for you, then it’s never a bad idea to do so.
