40 gallon breeder with 2x AI Prime 16 HD LEDs.
Height and spacing from BRS video -- 10" above water level, spaced (left to right) at 10” — 16” — 10”
Running 40% of BRS LPS/softie recommendation.
Measured with Apogee MQ-510 PAR meter:

PAR for BRS at 40.JPG

Peak intensity settings (40% of BRS):

*also measured:
55% of BRS -- PAR about 30% higher in each spot (over picture above)
Saxby settings downloaded from AI website -- PAR about 50% higher in each spot (over picture above)

Just borrowed an Apogee MQ-200 to check our PAR. Thought I'd post it here. Also with our intensities.

We run 2 16HD's on each end, and 2 G5 Blues with XHO Reef brites in the center. This is with water flow on also. Running BRS AB+ modified

Okay par readings with the Apogee 510. Top of rocks is about 14" from the bottom of the light. Top of water is about right in between. XR15 G5 Blue running 100% AB+ without any changes. Now to figure out how to increase par on a tank 19" long. Red Sea Max Nano Peninsula

Following this thread.

This thread is to host a Database of Par values on different tanks under different lighting, hopefully it will be useful for people to cross reference if they don’t have access to a Par Meter.

This will not be an exact science but should give people a good estimation of different lighting over different tanks.

Please do not use this thread for comments, let’s try to keep this a Database for Par data only, for more information, suggestions or information please go here..

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/s...d-and-share-your-numbers.538890/#post-5569165

suggested information that should be included in your post:
  • Type of meter you are using for measurements
  • Type of lighting.. be specific as possible and include things like manufacturer, age, length and type of bulbs for those t5 users, wattage and reflectors for the MH users.
  • LED users if possible include percentages used for different colors
  • Height of lighting over your water
  • Depth of water
  • Pumps or power heads running?
  • Any other factors that may contribute to readings such as room lighting, windows, tank in sunroom? etc.
  • A picture with measurements would be ideal but a list/description would be fine as well.
  • Provide as many collection points as possible such as bottom of tank left, right and center.. middle of tank left, right, center, front and back etc.
420L through-wall mixed reef, fish & invert tank with sump downstairs, Vectra M2 return pump, reefmat500, skimmer. Canopy on each side, no wavemakers/powerheads, no room lights on and shades drawn on each side – room is dark on measurement side. 2 x Fluvial Marine 3.0 46W 36”-48” Led light strips. One set turned off and measurements taken with ITC Parwise USB meter directly under mid-point of the other set except ~75mm horizontal displacement at substrate. Refer to tables for light color selection vs intensity %age values, light-water air gap and water depths.

I know this is old but this is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for with my wife's biocube, just feel like it needs a tad more light. How are these working out?

It worked but I went a different direction in going sps dominate. If your are looking at LPS and softies it’s perfect.

Made my own thread earlier, but remembered coming across this database, so I figured I'd add to it too.

Here's my numbers (not full peak 100% full spectrum). 2x XR15Pros and 1x XR30Blue

Schedule setting tested - my peak custom schedule I created which had the middle XR30 running at about 70% overall intensity and the XR15s on the outside at 80% overall intensity. My schedule ramps up with "full blues" and whites about 50%, and then a 3 hour peak exposure of full spectrum "full blues" with whites and other colors at 100% too. So maybe add another 10-15% to these numbers at everything completely maxed out.

My internal tank dimensions are 58"L x 24"W x 23"H and water line sits an inch below the rim, which at 21" above sand which is about 1" deep.

From edge to the 2 outside XR15s' fixture edge is 9", and spacing between the edge of 2 of either fixtures is 8". So left internal edge - 9" gap - XR15 - 8" gap - XR30 - 8" gap - XR15 - 9" gap - right internal edge. The lights sit on RMS mounts and are 8.5" above the surface of the water.

All measurements are taken with powerheads on and return pump on.

At just a hair below the surface between the 2 fixtures, my PAR is 700

Overall view to give an idea of how the lights are spaced:

Overall PAR grid (some numbers I couldn't get because of the rockwork):

And an idea of what placement of corals would get:

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 525 G2
Lights: 3x Red Sea LED90 on the LED90 mount
Settings: 100% Blue, 30% White
Tester: Par-Wise

My tank is intended to be a mixed reef, corals seem happy. It's a 1 year old tank.

I just got a new PAR meter, so I figured I'd put some of my results here.

The meter is the Apogee USB MQ-520, and I'm using the 1.25 immersion factor in the software.
The tank is 7 Foot, by 33 inches wide, 25" Tall, and 300 Gallons.
I have 6 Hydra 32's, and 4 rows of T5. The Hydras are running at around 70% of full output. All blue 100% White 60% red/green 20% and it's turned back to 80% power. The whole thing is on a gantry that raises mounted 8" above the tank in a canopy.
The pumps are running, but I used average values.

This is an old picture, but current PAR readings.

For an even older picture, this is the whole setup where you can see the canopy:

Noopsyche K7 III Pro

A little rough on this one as I didn’t realize this database existed or would have gone to more effort documenting and mapping:

Tank: Aqueon 75 gallon
Lights: 2 x Noopsyche K7 III Pro
Distance above water: 7 1/4”
No outside light

Settings:

All channels at 30%

Par at 8” depth = 150 +/- about 15 depending on location, more at center, less at edges.

Par at sand = 100 +/- about 10 depending on location

/soft coral tank

How was the setup process for the light? Was it easy to mount and adjust?
Did you have any issues with the app or controller?
