If CaCO3 is insoluble, why mix it with RO? Can't you just toss a teaspoon into the tank?
I was wondering this too, but for my purposes of adding things to it, i think any water would work.

I know some guides mention mixing and waiting a few hours, which didn't make sense to me, because you shake it back up anyway.

Edit: any water meaning my tank water. I was concerned using rodi and adding MB7 would just destroy the bacteria.
