I wouldn't call it pristine but the waters here are cooler and full of plankton and pods etc. Britain's coasts aren't known for corals.Hi K8
I use NSW. I live near the beach south of sydney. The seawater here is pristein. How clean is your source?
If its good to go, its good to go
The temp doesn't matter. If its poluted by sewage or shipping or the like, probably better making it.I wouldn't call it pristine but the waters here are cooler and full of plankton and pods etc. Britain's coasts aren't known for corals.
Seawater has everything on the periodic table. Corals come from seawaterI have always heard natural sea waterm has silicates can some confirm.
Yeah thanks for that link, I don't think the waters here will be suitable after watching that. We have oil riggs all around our coast as well as shipping channels, then there is the dosing factor, these waters probably lack calcium etc. Think I might do some more research.BRS did a good video on this just recently:

Hi. I live in england,Southport by Liverpool. I was just wondering if I can use real sea water in my tank rather than buying? I am 5 mins away from the coast so is easy enough.
Anyone from the UK use natural sea water? If so how have you found it?
