4 days ago,I added 2 peppermint shrimps to try to rid my tank of aiptasia, although I've not seen them since I released them in the tank,I can tell they are at work

thanks skinz,I've tried to nuke that aiptasia with kalk a couple time but it kept coming back and every time I used the kalk, the zoas would close up for a few days,I was afraid I'd eventually kill the zoas so I had to try something different.....I need a few more peppermints though,my frag/fuge has several aiptasia in it and some mojanos too...

I've only seen 3 aiptasia in my big tank and 2 are gone now :D

Yeah I am having the same lack of success in my 20g tank with the couple of Aptasia's that are in it. I take my frustrations out on them with Kalk paste so I find it a bit amusing.

with the kalk paste, mine kinda melt away but come right back and seem even healthier afterwards,I also tried boiling RO/DI water in a syringe but that didn't work either...the lady at my local fish store said to try lemon juice but I don't want to try something that I don't already put in the tank anyway....

I prefer the more natural approach if at all possible for anything like that,I'd love to have a copperband butterfly but I'm afraid it wouldn't eat prepared foods for me after it wiped out the aiptasia
