Rick could you explain your manifold system between your two tanks. Great job organizing your equipment. Do you use the storage container to measure out your salt for your tank?

The manifold directs both the RODI and salt mix to the location I need it...here is a closeup

upload_2017-3-15_8-42-51.png

The blue valve opens the line to the RODI tank (the one on the Left) I use quick disconnects to hook the output to the desired location...Salt mix tank...bucket...whatever

The red valve opens the output from the salt mix tank (The one on the right) and pumps the water to my DT.

The yellow valve opens the output from the salt mix tank to fill my quarantine tank container (20 Gal)...this is what I uses to do the water changes in my quarantine tanks

The Black valve opens the output from the salt tank and feeds it back into to my salt mix tank and recirculates the water in the tank...I use this when mixing my salt

The tank on the left is the RODI storage tank and is hooked to my RODI unit. The RODI unit is hooked to a timer to make the amount I need for my salt mix and my ATO

The tank on the right is my salt mix tank where I mix my salt for water changes in my DT as well as my quarantine tanks. I weigh out my salt (weighing station) according to the number of gal. of RODI added to my salt mix tank

Hope this helps explain it

Rick

Cool ! Thanks for the info. I have been looking for containers with open tops and wide lids for ease of cleaning. Do the tops screw on or just sit on top of the container ?
Which size do you have ?

Welcome...55 gal..covers just sit on top....
