I was just wondering how often people completely drain and clean their saltwater mixing container?

I was cleaning mine today and I noticed a bunch of slime at the bottom of the container. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I clean out about every 2-3 months. I circulate anytime there is SW being made.

I still get fallout, but a good rinse takes care of most of it.

I rinse whenever I see buildup on the containers walls. Circulation does help with the slime.

Wow, I am odd here. I have yet to clean mine in about a year. I used reef crystals for a while and noticed the slime as well, I have since switched to Red Sea and have noticed it disappearing. I have one power head on at all times to circulate and a second I turn on to help mix the salt up. Heater is always on.
