I have a frag tank full of zoas but for some reason the scrambled eggs look terrible. They used to look exactly how a scrambled egg should look but over time the skirts turn brown and dull as seen in pic. Anyone had this happen. I have sent in icp tests with no issues.
Alk 8.7
Calcium 440
Mag 1400
Phosphate 0.06
Nitrate 14

I'm at a loss. The other zoas all seem fine

Maybe change up their lighting just a guess if it's the only one acting strange , from the looks of it they look fine otherwise.

I did lower the lighting because I think it was a bit intense but that was 2 months ago.

I wouldn’t say they look terrible. But following along. My tazer zoas did the exact same thing, although they seem otherwise happy. I do have in fairly intense lighting. Always assumed the chronically high phosphate .18 ppm this week, which is unusually low lol.

Edit: All said it’s a good grower and seems to be really happy

June 2020 horrible pic, but reminder that it was actually green when I received from WWC

Perhaps you may want to kick the lighting back up a bit and see where that goes I know when I had really strong lighting on my snake polyps they were super happy and started expressing neon green on the tips.

Had you posted on this before? I feel like someone else had a similar thing happen with their scrambled eggs back at the beginning of summer, maybe this past spring.

It's unusual that they only lost the green/yellow in the skirt, otherwise they look perfectly fine.

The default is for people to suggest the lighting is what caused the morph. In reality nutrients (just like sps) can affect the presentation of some zoa strains as well. Admittedly I've seen this more so in mauls and other speckled varities and never in stuff like scrambled eggs. Had you started or ended any dosing regimes when this began? Targeted feeding with prepared foods, aminos or Moonshine dosing?

Dummy check question but are you running anything like T5s or Halides where the bulb could have burnt in in an odd spectrum?
