I recently acquired this large piece of stag horn, but I’m new to acropora…so do I need to break it to smaller piece or left it be?

I would just leave it be as much as possible so it can acclimate to your system, how long have you had this new piece? It looks like you have a few sps in there

Just got it today from a local reefer.

I have a few monti and a bali slimer frag that been doing great for several months now.

Yeah with it being tall I'd watch lighting for the first couple weeks, imo it doesn't matter if it comes from a high light tank they still need to get light acclimated for a few days in a new system with new parameters.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
