hey I want to fill up my 180 gallon tank, with white sand, I heard i can use silica sand for it, or Regular play sand but i hate the way it looks, has anyone done this before, im planing on buying some regular reef sand to top it off!

Uber, I would find someone from DARC or MASC that is breaking down a tank, in your area and get their sand. Clean it real good and use that. I would also make sure that you don't go too fine, if you have a lot of flow or you will end up with bare spots, like me. I have to get some Aragonite to fill in the bare spots.
