Adjusted the wave pumps

Would you consider just letting them run rather then alternate

If it was a bacterial bloom, I'd be looking for something dead or decaying somewhere, the battery kind of freaks me out a bit. Do you have a relativity strong magnet anywhere? I'd wrap it in a washcloth and run it along the bottom of the tank as far as you can reach. And see if you catch anything. You can also double bag a magnet inside a ziploc bag, squeezing the air out as you close the bag. Then run it along the bottom inside the tank to see if you pick up any more batteries.

Agitate the surface of the water as much as you can. Take super clean plastic containers and scoop the water and then pour it back in the tank. Keep doing that as much as possible. If you are within a moderate climate, open a window and put a fan somewhere close to suck fresh air in.

Let them run, as long as they're not pointing out of the water, or at something that may survive, you should be good.

I love chromis, they're so peaceful compared to other damsels.

I think the source of the bacterial bloom was likely the starfish which I had found a little bit late is it look like some of the inverts had gotten to it. that was the front end of this about a day ago at that point I assumed it was just starfish are challenging and we had him for only about a week

Boy did I miss judge that

The source of the battery was a remote control for a light must've been on the table when I brought them back from cleaning only had one so we should be in the clear there

Second chromous has moved to the top and and it looks to be by choice so I think we're good making some headway there
