I personally like the design, settings, and PAR level of the G5 so I went with 2 G5 xr30 pros. I didn’t go with them because of a fad or being new, went with them because I’ve been researching lights for a while to upgrade from the garbage Current USA IC Pros that I was running, and liked the features of the new light.
I chose to go with the Pro over the Blue because my wife is home during the day and enjoys watching the fish which you can see better with more white.
My point is don’t go with a new lighting setup for this huge amount of money because someone told you it would do a better job. Do your research and buy whatever is best for you in your situation.
Good choice on the pro's. That would be mine also. I like the extra spectrum options.
As to why is because they are in the same price point and both are the latest models. They are already comparing the Gen 5 to various lights might as well put it up against the a360x. Could be they could just do it via paper and see what the a360x data shows - assuming they used the same testing practices. I'm not sure if they did is why I was asking.
I could be wrong but it seems that they have a different testing methodology now. If the Kessil used the same then yes, why both - just show the data.
Edit: Regarding last comment about buying. My primary lighting is DIY multi channels from blue acro. Love them. I do have a kessil a360x that I've been testing. I like it also. Agree regarding research and not just drinking the cool aide
