Last picture of my 8 year old 75 gallon reef before I had to move to another state and shut it down. You can see my home made fish trap at center bottom

It's cool to see some older tanks. I don't have many pictures of my older tanks sadly, here are those I do have ......

1997-2008 - this picture is after a major tank crash, so it looks awful. Ironically, my large magnifica anemone was the only invert to have been completely unfazed.

Big light in front of the window attracted the interest of the local police who knocked on my door one evening to ask me what I was growing :D

I was big into DiY back then, partly because it is fun and partly because I had no $$.

I'll go ahead and post a newer version of my first reef (which is the old version of my current reef o_O )

(and build thread) It is funny looking back at my old posts where I struggled with zoa and mushroom problems. Now I feel like I can keep those in my sleep. (knock on wood)

Right after the rescape (I posted the old old scape earlier in this thread)

The partially completed dryscape and my football sized rock covered in GSP. (wound up selling that off but it was an awesome piece)

FTS after some growth.

Oh, and if you like GSP you will like this. I never got it completed, but I had fun with the build thread.

I wish I could find a picture of my old engineer goby tank. It was mad out of plywood with a glass front. It was 4' long and 12"x12". It was full of zooanthid rock from Florida (remember when you could buy that and ricordia rock)
