I have a tunze osmolator and the tank side of the sensor is rusted. Has anyone else had this issue? The magnets and the metal that holds them in are rusted. It is about a year old.

Contact Tunze I would be surprised if they did not provide a solution.

When ever I have an issue with Tunze I just give them a call. When I get home I'll look for the number but it's probably on their site.

If it's an older Nano 3152. one side of the magnet bracket is coated the other is not. Pop off the sensor and move it to the coated side.

The new magnets are coated on both sides.

Thank you I'll try that when I get home. I didn't see new posts on here. My phone is slacking on providing updates.

I'm guessing you got that second hand. That's two outside/non wet side pieces. It should look like this.

It was bought new

Interesting. I've never run into that. But, I have had a couple buddies, including myself run into the same thing. But, we've done it on accident grabbing the wrong parts from our junk piles and piecing things together.

BTW, my understanding that rust is not something to be all that concerned with. Similar to the iron in GFO we use to control PO4.
But, I don't feel all comfy with something rusting in my tank.

It's ok, I just used some aquarium silicone and sealed the tank side magnet. No rust, no issues lol
