Hey Randy,
I wanted to ask if leaving tupperwear, rubberbands, and mesh from the BRS screen tops will have a bad affect on an aquarium in the long term?

I have a frag tank that I frequently use those items in to make little bowls to contain corals like mushrooms in where I put frag plugs all along the bottom so that they will attach to the plugs. And I think I would like to leave the DIY containers in the tank indefinitely but I was unsure if in the long term that these items would harm the tank.

I would assume, plastic would break down in the long term but the adverse effects of degradation and release of anything that would cause damage would be negligible and be taken out or reduced to low quantities when you do water changes.

I can understand that, I just wanted to make sure there wasnt anything known about these items that would for sure cause issues. I can always just replace the items and I'll probably remove them for cleaning every month or 2.
