Hello all. Unfortunately I’m back in the fish disease/treatment section again. 5 days ago I purchased a yellow watchman goby. He looked fine in the LFS. When I got him home I noticed the whole around his gills was turning white. I put this down to stress. Since then he has remained extremely timid and will dart about the tank. He has dug underneath some rocks and stays there unless feeding. His left side has returned to yellow however he seems to have a large white mark down his right side. I can’t get a good photo as when ever I’m close he shoots into his hole (at the back of the tank which makes it even harder). I’ll upload the best photos I have. Could anyone tell me if this is scaring from digging or if it’s something else. Also is there anything I can do for him?
The other side of his body is completely fine.
