Is this normal? If not, any ideas what could cause this? It's been hanging on one of my new fish for a few hours now.

I'd have to call this "stringy poo". Now I'm NO expert but from what I read from the masters here it means some type of internal parasite?

I would say that is brown stringy poo. Being brown it may just have an irritated intestine. If it were White stringy poop it would Def be a sign of an internal parasite and or intestinal worm. This would require mixing of focus and metroplex into prepared food in order to remove the parasites. Keep a close eye on it for now. I would hold off on treatment. Let us know if you see changes.
