Weird swimming of tang flashes glass

It's getting aggressive with its reflection. I have a powder brown tang that tail slaps at the reflection haha.

^^ agree with the above, the fish seems healthy and active and only gets aggressive when near its reflection. Its known that tangs get aggressive when they have similar tang to them in tank, also the case of some other species.

It's kind of annoying for sure and one of those things not real sure how to deal with it. All I can figure is maybe it's a phase where my powder brown is growing up on me and maybe he will settle down when it figures it out haha [emoji23]

How can it see reflection on a transparent glass? There is no glossy background too.

Glass + water will create reflections and act as mirror, based on refraction and rarefaction of light as it hits the panel. You can also notice it in the video sometimes when viewing at right angel it will appear like a mirror.

Yes, especially that the tang is approaching the reflection with an angel. Sometimes the effect is magnified if its really bright inside the tank and the outside (room) is dark.

Add it to the DT when light go off to try to reduce aggression to minimum. You will still see some aggression for the first few days until they assemble a hierarchy.

Probably not, but the purple will be king of the tang.
