This colony and two others have elongated their skirts since I got them- isn't it odd??? And all three colonies were regular skirted when I got them in originally. Other colonies in the tank remain the same, that have been in the tank longer than these...

Odd!

I've noticed that when I take a frag from a low flow area to a high flow/lower light are their skirts grow long! This long skirt thing happens mostly among green/brown skirted zoas.

Then again, I've never seen a skirt like that! Wowzers.

One of the other colonies doing it is red skirted- it's pretty cool looking side by side. No Rogaine!!! lol Sure looks like that though.. makes me wanna braid it and put ribbons it it...

They are on the bottom of the tank, in I would say a low to moderate area because the skirt kind of meanders around- no linear flow movement.

I have no idea why they are doing this, but it sure looks neat-o!
