Here is a pic from today.

I have been cutting a ton of frags the last couple months but it is still filling in a little.

My big spring project is beginning. I'll document the project here.

I'm renovating the garage. Since my tanks, sump, and equipment are all in the garage, it's kind of relevant.

My garage is a huge mess. It's hot, humid, and I'm getting some mold and rust issues so it's time to get it under control.

I'm renting a pod and pulling everything out. Redoing the floors, painting, adding climate control, adding overhead storage, and getting a nice workbench and cabinets. It should look pretty nice when it's all done.

Some embarrassing "before" pictures.

Just installed 12,000 btu frigidaire through-wall a/c unit with temperature sensing remote control. Electrician coming out tomorrow to add the new circuit.

I'm also going to add a commercial dehumidifier to help with humidity when the a/c is not running. During winter months, water just pours off the garage door when I open it.

It took me all weekend but I got everything moved into the pod and scrubbed the floors and cinderblocks.

Painter comes Wednesday.

New dehumidifier is doing a great job at pulling the water out. Going to make this nice and neat and go into the French drain.

Well. Bad news. Most of my Acros are dead.

The painter took longer than expected because they had to do some repair work to the wall to prep.

I took the lights off and covered the tanks in plastic to keep debris out during the work. I wasn't able to get the lights back on until the 4th day and most of my big colonies have RTN'd on me. Pretty bummed out. I lost some of my favorites.

Thanks. I'm not sure what direction I'm going to take with the tank. It's an opportunity to change the aquascape and do something different. Thinking about taking a break from Acropora and filling in with different stuff.

Now for good news, garage project is coming along well.

Strongracks platform is up

Floor coming along smoothly but saving the cut pieces (the hard part) for last

Putting things away nice and neat. Hoping to finish emptying the POD this weekend. Then I can move on to draining the sump and frag tank so I can finish the floor underneath them. I'm saving that for last.

This weekend I'm going to finish up the floor underneath my frag tank and sump.

I figured since I have to drain and break down the sump to get to the floor underneath, I may as well upgrade.

This

Will get replaced by this:

It took me all weekend but I broke down the frag tank and my sump. Pulled everything out and finished the flooring underneath. Then put my new sump in and plumbed it up.
