I was just going to post this same thread the other day.. at first mine weren't so bothersome, but now I hate them! alot of my favorite zoas stay closed up because one will occupy the colony, and keep all the polyps closed up...

would either of those fish be safe with 4 sexy shrimp, pom pom crab, and my harlequin shrimp? and if so I have tons of copepods and amphipods.. would they eat all the pods first before they eat my sghetti worms? lol

the right way

reduce nutrient load and they will dissapear for good.. along with other annoying detrivores that are probably thriving along side them...

i did reduce it, i was only feeding once every 2 weeks... they then started closing all my polyps and keeping them closed for what ever reason... im looking for something that will eat them all, maybe its not "the right way" but its the way i want it done...

I have 2 harlequin shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimp and 4 peppermints. All been in there for a year with out any issues. I had a clam for a year too but lost that to an alk spike. I can't comment on the other shrimps you have. It will eat pods, i call mine search and destroy. He hovers around and picks at things in-between zoos.

What nutrients are you talking about? Organic or inorganic? I keep a medium bioload of fish in my 60 cube. Feed daily, skim wet and use filter sock. Is this a method you have used in the past?
