Don't know the projected service life but I have been using my Lab Grade probe for going on 4 years....no problems...Hold calibration well

I've got one that has never even been used, bought it last year ( why i said shelf life )at the thanksgiving sale, I've finally got everything and ready for the calcium reactor to go online and this probe won't calibrate, I've been trying to get it to calibrate all morning it just won't

You might try soaking it in a Probe cleaning solution (usually weak HCl or KCl) , if you have any, for an hour or so...stored electrodes often need reconditioned...Here is a link to cleaning and reconditioning


I have done this a number of times with old probes and it brought them back to life!
