White growth in sump
I have a 180 Gal tank with corner overflows. My sump has a large amount of white sponge like growth that is spreading throughout my sump and protein skimmer. It is also growing in each corner overflows.
I have cleaned and drained my sump twice now and the growth seems to always slowly comes back.
Does anyone have any idea what this stuff is and how I can get rid of it?

Here is a photo of my sump return area:

Thanks. Ya my tank has been up about 10 months now and is otherwise doing very well. Should I add light to my sump? I heard that the light would kill them.
