My wife recently picked up this beautiful clown. Not sure what kind he is but his pattern is quite unique. He was sold as a “premium” clown from Petco at one of their magnet stores meaning they get all the good stuff. Their tanks are pretty immaculate and they even have saltwater specialists that were very helpful in answering all of our questions.

This little guy caught our eye and we noticed his fins were torn up and one of the associates stated he had to be separated due to getting bullied and that his fins would grow back when properly cared for. I’ll admit we were apprehensive but the associate decided to throw him in for free given his condition.

Now I’m wondering whether or not this was all a bunch of lies. The other clown in the tank is similar in color but more of a brown/black color. He’s a bit bigger but not aggressive at all. Both are super sweet and seem to enjoy each other’s company. Water parameters are good and we’re both drip acclimated for over an hour. Anything we might be missing? IMG_9502.jpeg IMG_9501.png
