NiceJust did more research on limu-make-o-Hana. After living in Hawaii we have come to call them pillow zoas. I have some in my tank right now! I fragged these from a tide pool on Oahu and brought back to the mainland. They are growing well and I was thinking about trying to frag soon!
I use medical grade gloves, an N95 mask, and goggles. whenever handling anything in the DT. I spoke with a toxicologist at a major tertiary care center near me about Palytoxin. The answer was and I quote,
"We do have treatment protocols in place but there is no antidote known, it's all supportive care. If you intake enough we would be glad to make you comfortable while your body takes a ride through the 7 levels of hell."
Wear gloves and eye protection, roll the rock in some newspaper, toss in a plastic bag and seal it and dump in trash.I have 2 green zoa on a rock. The bigger ones look eerily like the ones in the last coral magazine. The ones they claim are dangerous.
I got them from frag farmer market. Nobody wanted them so the guy gave them to me. Every time I move them they slime up, snot comes off them. (yes I use gloves) so I'm debating to getting rid of them. I put them to the side so they won't spread to other rocks.
They scare me after reading all the problems lately. I have grandchildren that always want to feed the fish and I would feel horrible if they got sick. What to do?
I bought a tank with these in them, and not sure if these are poison either.I have 2 green zoa on a rock. The bigger ones look eerily like the ones in the last coral magazine. The ones they claim are dangerous.

I don't think so, but unsure. I have to get a closer look. Hot the tank late, and spent time cleaning itI almost said they were Duncanopsammia. By chance do they have a skeleton?
Oh man, they are all over. I hope they aren't manjos. I'm not sure which is worse to have.I bought a tank with these in them, and not sure if these are poison either.
