Can you install a RODI filter what is meant to be on the wall (like 99.9% of them) horizontally, like laying them down.
The only negative effect I can think off is improper usage from the DI due to shrinking of the media.
What's your thought about this? @AZDesertRat

My limited understanding of this is that it is filtering not settling so it will work. One drawback would be when replacing the filter media you will pour all the water out on a horizontal installation.

Dunno if air getting captured in the system could be an issue lying down...it's designed for gravity to assist I think. The water is supposed to flow up while gravity holds the media down.

It would be an interesting experiment! :)

Not going there till I have some concrete answers but there is a reason why all units I have seen in the hobby have a vertical installation kit.

I hear ya, I always can set it up straight to do the filter change if I go there.
