Yeah yeah, but do you have an anemone & shrimp pair in your tank?

I bought this shrimp about 4 years ago as a candy pistol. He was less than 1/4" (6mm). He has rejected multiple shrimp gobies. 6 months ago I put a green bubble tip in. I didn't do it for him. I just thought I had a great place for one to stay anchored on.

Anyway, about 4 weeks ago the shrimp moved into his nem. He seldom comes out. Until this new development he lived in a cave. He has built his cave opening up to just under the nem.

He's large enough to identify properly as alpheis armatus. An anemone shrimp. I've never heard of them hosting BTA's in aquariums. Abnormal, normal, or does my nem end up eating him?

My nem host my shrimp. He's happy as can be. He switches between the bubble tip and a rock flower nem.

Pretty cool. I hadn't seen that it happens in aquariums until it happened in mine. For a long while I was upset about not having one that would pair up with a goby. But this is way better.
