When I have a fish that has some rapid breathing gill problems like ammonia burn or flukes. The ammonia burn can also shut down the eating too. I'd consider placing the fish into a bath with methylene blue. It will help the fish's gills to transpire O2 and if there are other issues, it has a bit of an antiseptic/antibiotic like ability to help unseen problems.Just today, possibly yesterday night etc.
Had him for a long time. It is a very picky eater and eats only a little bit.
