I've asked this before and can't get a straight answer. I have a 75 gallon tank.. Can or can't I keep a Yellow Tang? I want him/her to be able to live out her life. I get attached to my fish and don't want to have to get rid of it. So if the answer is no it's back to the searching game..

The other fish I was thinking about it a One Eyed Fox Face.

Any help would be great.

Agreed yellow tangs can get pretty large. Although not as large as some other tangs. They need the distance and size of a tank for cruising. In my opinion it will outgrow the tank. . . Beware of the tang police however.

Man that is cool.. If I can find one I do like the looks of that bad boy..

I have a part of clown, a watchman goby and a firefish and a cleaner Shriner, will they all get along?

Yes. I have Kole, paired Ocellaris, watchman goby with paired pistol shrimp, purple fire fish, scooter blenny, Banghii, and royal Dottyback. They get along well. Occasionally the Dottyback chases the firefish into its cave. The Kole is a great fish so far. I have had it about 3-4 months.

I would advise against it. A kole tang would be just fine in a 75.

I've got a 7 year old purple tang in my 80 rimless (48x24x16) and it's doing just fine. She's constantly grazing, swimming and looping my rocks, and seems extremely happy. Obviously, my tank footprint is larger than yours. I say yes.
