-3 in central Connecticut this morning, the wind chill is putting it around -13. My brother who lives in the NE corner of the state has wind chills going to -20 and lower.
The snow over the weekend was long but did not amount to much here, but Boston can not catch a break.

Another 2-4 inches coming in tomorrow, just enough to screw up travel, schools and force me to drag out the snow blower again.

LOL
I am in NC now and I don't miss those Springfield Mass winter's at all . I just talked to some friends last week . They said it snowed 3 Monday's in a row . This was last winter when it was just getting started . It would stop then 2 days later it would pile up again . U had to stay away from hilly intersections to avoid sliding back into another vehicle .
I think saying" U know u got a problem in Mass when the weatherman tells u to stay put and not get on the roads" is definitely saying a lot too.

The joke is Most of us that have lived in the NE for a while or grown up here remember plenty of storms that were bigger than any of the ones we have seen this year. And provided you are actually thinking once the storm is over the roads are safe(ish). The part that has been killing everyone is that it has been one dam storm after another with small snow falls in between the big ones, with little to no warm spells to melt anything off. Unless you scrape the heck out of it and use rock salt or ice melt on it chances are it is still covered in snow and ice!

It seems at the beginning of the winter the schools would close for any dam reason including one time where they closed because it was "too cold". Since the number closings have built up schools have started getting a bit more conservative about the closings (No more it is too cold closings), but thanks to presidents day my kid has not been to school on a Monday for 4 weeks in a row. Depending on when and how the sow comes in tomorrow they may cancel school again!
