My zoas seem to have formed a white ring around them, are losing color, and are not extending fully. Has been going on about a week. Nothing in the tank schedule has changed since the first day they were added 2 months ago. Parameters have not changed either. My clove polyps are growing like crazy, GSPs are out, mushrooms are perfect. Has anyone seen this before? See attached before and after pics.

Personally I find zoa's to be a little bit picky, did you try to move them to a different spot?

Not yet, i was trying to refrain from doing that because i didn’t want to stress them out on top of whatever is going on with them. But now that it’s been a week i might have to.

I always liked when my zoas sat kinda flat because it meant they weren’t reaching for light or food. As long as they’re open they’re probably fine:relieved-face:

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
