My tank has been set up for a bit over a month. I have included two pictures of the two zoa colonies I have.

The bottom colony seems to be opening up fine and no issues. The top zoa colony hasn't opened up since the day I purchased it (it's been about two weeks).

I've tried moving the closed colony every few days it doesn't open to see what it likes: higher flow then lower flow, brighter light then less light. Any scenario doesn't seem to be working while the other is fine almost anywhere.

Asking for any suggestions or advice that has worked for you guys. Thanks

Until you can rule out ammonia (test result from your other thread) in the water, you can assume that's going to make any animal in the tank angry....and it could kill them.

Assuming the ammonia number in your test is correct, then either a bacterial additive or ammonia neutralizer should be used until the tank is fully cycled.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
