I have recently added 3 frags to my recently cycled aquarium. I got them Saturday and i noticed today that there's a couple of them that look discolored compared to the rest. Are they sick, dying, dead, or okay?

My lighting is an Ebay led reef lighting. White and blue settings.
Salinity 1.026
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrate 20 ppm
Phosphate. 025
Alk 11 dkh
Temp 79.6F
Cal 460
But the looked like the others on Saturday but the snails and hermit crabs have been cleaning the plugs and they have been getting roughed up. So I'm not sure.

What are your led settings? Leds might be too bright. Usually have to put zoas lower and move them up gradually.

There's no settings really. There's an off setting and then a blue or a white. No intensity settings

Tank has had water in it since jan 29th. But just recently bottomed out in parameters. I'll try to snap a better one

yup, agreed.
But if no one told you. Zoanthids melt. just do sometimes. Especially in a sometimes in a newer tank.
The best bet imo is put them lower in the tank in a happy flow spot and see what happens.

Is this you first saltwater and corals?

Yup, zoas are known to melt for no apparent reason. I had some thrived for 6 months, and bam it starts to close up and melt away, while all my other colonies are fine. Still trying to figure zoas out after a year and a half.

Stress maybe could be the cause? Ive heard of this but i imagine they have some rediculous reason... mine always have hermits on em ticking em off

So do I wait a couple days and if no change, rip then off or how does that work?
